Aubrey has us rolling these days. She has a very spunky personality that has started to shine through more and more. Recently, she has said something quite funny. The first time she said "soakin wet", we about fell on the floor because it sounds like "cigarette". We were like, why is she saying that?? But, then with context clues, we figured out that she was really saying soaking wet. Two year olds...always keep you on your toes!

Welcome Addison Kate!

So much has happened since the last time I blogged! I don't even know where to start! The most important thing to mention is the new addition to our family. We are so happy to welcome sweet Addison Kate to our family. She was born on Friday, June 26 at 7:43 am, weighing in at 7.6 lbs and 21 inches long. She is now 5 weeks old and time has been flying by. She has been a sweet baby girl from the start, only crying when she is hungry. Let's hope she keeps this up! I am working hard on trying to get her to sleep through the night. She will wake up only twice to eat, which is nice...I guess!? Mama is tired, okay! I have watched more tv than I ever have before over these past 5 weeks while nursing my sweet girl. Aubrey, big sis, has really embraced her baby sister. She is so nice to the baby and really just loves her! I am hoping that I will be blogging more now, since Addison will be a bit bigger and more easy to manage! All that being said...until I go back to work in September.

Happy Father's Day!

I am so blessed to have such a sweet husband, who also happens to be a wonderful father! Even though we spent the day busily preparing for the arrival of Addison, Kevin still managed to get some quality Daddy/Daughter time in with Aubrey. They hung out outside for a few hours this evening getting things cleaned up. Aubrey loves following Daddy around these days and I am hoping this will continue!
This morning we had a Father's Day breakfast with my Dad, Aunt Devin, Ryder, Uncle Ryley, Aubrey, Kevin and I at Cracker Barrel. It was fun to spend some quality time together. I am also lucky to have such a loving father. Dad is the best Grandpa you could ask for. Aubrey just adores him, as well. All in all it was a fabulous weekend and a very productive one, as well!
Here is a photo taken after breakfast. Glad Devin remembered to bring her camera :)
37.5 weeks ~ Only 5 days to go!
Ready for Addison's Debut
Addison's nursery is finally complete, hospital bag is packed, carseat are BOTH installed, baby clothes are washed with Dreft....check, check, and check. I think we are ready for the debut of our baby girl. These next few days are going to fly by as we await the scheduled birth of Addison Kate. Aubrey knows there is something going on, but does not know that her world, as she knows it is going to change forever. She doesn't really want to "talk" about Addison coming. She is very sweet with other baby's, so I am hoping that will continue with her baby sister. So, if anyone is wondering where we will be next weekend...Southern Regional it is!

Maternity Leave
I am getting so excited about the arrival of Baby Addison! She will make her debut in only 17 days. We have been very busy getting her room ready, including washing mounds of laundry. With the second, same sex, you have everything and that makes the laundry preparation feel like it will never end. It is so much fun getting all of Aubrey's old things out and remembering back to when she was that small. It went by so fast because now she is a Big Girl and a Big Sis! I am adding a picture of myself here at 35.5 weeks. I am feeling pretty good, but starting to hit that sluggish tired feeling you get at the end.
For all of my photography clients, please note that I will not be taking any more orders after Monday, June 22. This will barely give us enough time to order and get the pictures to you before I am in the newborn baby haze. So...go ahead and get those orders in!! :)
I will begin taking orders again about 3 weeks after that. I have activated the 'shopping cart' on Smugmug, so you can always order that way. But, remember, my packages are not included on there...that is only for a la carte. My last day of my real job is Wed, June 24 and I will be off until September 21.

Smith Family Sneak Peek!

This is really just a mean trick only posting one photo from a session! I had to go ahead and post at least one peek for the Smith's. These are just the most adorable brother/sister pair, with their blonde hair and blue eyes. I was in love at first sight! I promise to add more later this week, but for now, here are adorable Mary Thomas (3) and Miles (16 mos).

Preston ~ Sneak Peek

Preston just turned two on Friday! I know this day well as it is the day after Aubrey was born. Alexa, Preston's Mommy, and I were due on the same day and went to the hospital the same day, but Preston decided that he wanted his own Birthday and came a day later. He has grown so much over the past few months and I was thrilled to spend some time with him today. Preston can quickly steal the heart of any girl, any age. He certainly won me over, and I think I may have just won him over too! Alexa and Bruce, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
