Dietschler Family ~ Hilton Head, SC

I had the opportunity to photography a second family while in Hilton Head last weekend. This little boy Zachary, was super nice and has the most clear and beautiful blue eyes. I couldn't get enough of them! Zachary is an only grandchild and hangs out with his Grandparents often. They had been at the beach for the week and were heading out this day. They are very close and you will see the connection in the photo shoot on the beach. Thanks Dietschler family!

My Water Baby

Sunday night Kevin was watering the flowers and grass in our front yard. We were just finishing up with Aubrey's mini shoot that I posted earlier this week. Aubrey was facinated with the water and had a blast playing in it after Daddy gave in and let her get wet! Aubrey is such a joy to be around and truly reminds us of how much fun it is to be a kid. We are so lucky to have you Aubrey Kay!

Woods Beach Session - Hilton Head, SC

Here are the sneak peaks from one of the beach sessions that took place this weekend. I am sorry it took so long to get these to you, but there were so many good ones to choose from!! Laura Beth had a ball on the beach once we let her go and do her thing. She especially enjoyed the end when we let her play in the ocean. This little girl has a wonderful family and is very loved by all. She doesn't give up the smiles often, but when she does it will light up a room. Thanks for having us at the beach and I hope you enjoy these photos of your family!

AMK

I took advantage of this beautiful evening to photography my baby girl! I just knew the dress she was wearing would come out great against the green grass outside. (By the way this dress can be purchased at www.thewhimsicalwoods.com) I recently purchased the chair she is sitting in at an antique shop and Kevin painted it red. We were not sure how it would turn out, but I was thrilled with the result! I feel like we had a milestone day with Aubrey today. She is 14 months old now. Two things she did today that were kinda cool...1. Ate yougurt with a spoon...by herself. 2. Sat down and colored without eating the crayons. I know that some people might think that these things are small feats, but in the world of motherhood, there is just nothing like it!

A Quick Getaway

We just came home from a mini vacation to Hilton Head, SC. It was quick but fun! Aubrey had a blast playing with her friend, Laura Beth. They are only 10 weeks apart, so it is funny to see how they are together. I think Aubrey misses LB after coming home to an empty house. These girls together are free entertainment.

Aubrey had a blast on the beach and wanted to stay in the sand right where the tide comes in. She was just as happy as could be out there at the beach. I was also lucky enough to take two photo sessions while down there. I will be working on getting the 'sneak peak' of both up in a day or so. It was so much fun shooting on the beach! There is nothing like getting your feet wet and running around in the sand and getting paid to do so! Here are some snapshots from the weekend. (I have noticed that I do not appear in pictures anymore:) Maybe we will get a family shot of Aubrey, Kevin and I soon!)

Dobbs + Head Family Session

Giggles and laughter is what was going on during my shoot with Angie, Scott, Alyse and DJ today. This is a fun loving family who was a joy to be around this afternoon. It was soooo hot outside and they did not let that get them down. We had a successful shoot at Heritage Park in McDonough and I cannot wait to see what you guys think about your photos!

Making Memories

I have been meaning to edit this 4th of July shoot with my nieces for awhile now, but have just been super busy lately. I just love this photo of the four girls...Megan (4), Macey (2), Aubrey (1) and Natalie (3). I think this one is a timeless classic that they will look back on for years to come. Even though they probably will not remember us even taking this picture, it will take them back to fond memories of the lakehouse that their Grandfather and their Great Grandfather built together. We are so lucky to have this place of rest and relaxation on Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville. I only wish we could visit there more often.

Hall/Schmidt Engagement Session

This morning I headed to Stone Mountain to do my first engagement shoot for one of the most fun couples I know! Jessica and Jeremiah were ready to go this morning and we had a blast shooting at Stone Mountain. It is the perfect time of year to shoot there since everything is green and just beautiful! The couple did a great job as we walked around the park snapping shots of them together. You can tell these two love to have a good time, just as much as they love each other. I wish you both the best and thank you for letting me do these photos!

Miller Family Session - Finished

Please check out the full gallery of the Miller family session on smugmug (the link is on the top right of this blog). I hope you guys like them. Thank you again!

My Mommy is a wannabe photographer...

So, you might be wondering why there is a picture of my daughter sitting on the floor...in the hallway...in front of a fake tree...with a stocking cap on...in the middle of July. That is what you get when your Mom likes to be behind the camera 24-7. All I wanted to do was a quick shoot of Aubrey on Saturday afternoon. The lighting was awesome in our bedroom and I thought it would be cute to take some of her with this hat to bring out her blue eyes. She was not having it! She just wanted to look at the picture on the back of the camera....yes, she is only 14 months and already does that. Back to the tree...the tree belongs next to the window in our room and she is obsessed with it, so I put it in the hallway. Aubrey would not sit still, got grumpy and left me hanging with no photos from the shoot. We decided to go back to the living room to play and I was in the kitchen. I looked down the hall thinking she probably went to the dog food in the bathroom and I captured this one photo. I guess I deserve it for all the times I am in her face with the camera....poor child!

Bryant and Hailey Miller

Today, I had the pleasure of photographing my close friend and neighbor's children. It was a joy as I have lived across the street from The Miller's for over 5 years now and have seen them grow up over those years. They are now 4 (almost 5) and 7...I can't belive how time flies! We had a blast playing near...and in the pond at Kevin's Dad's land in Stockbridge. Hailey fell in the pond and was a sport, as she didn't even cry. Luckily, we finished before the big storm came. Jennifer, I hope you enjoy these!

Goddard Family Session - Finished

I think Ida and her family will be happy to know that I have completed their session. They can be viewed on the smugmug site. I hope you enjoy them! I had so much fun with these photos. We took the pictures at Ida's house in Loganville. They have a great yard and some beautiful scenery. I hope to shoot there again real soon. Thanks guys!

Happy 4th of July!

So, the 4th of July has come and gone once again. Can you belive summer is already half way over? We went to the lakehouse (Lake Sinclair) and spent some time with the McKneely's. My Dad and siblings were able to join us for a day, as well. We had fun and celebrated the 4th by shooting off fireworks and cooking out. Here is a photo of Aubrey in her 4th garb. I especially love the excitement she shows in this photo. Not sure what got her so riled up, but I love it when she is like this...cracks me up. Sure was not the fireworks that got her so excited...she slept through the entire show!

Weekend visitor...

Laura Beth came over to play on Saturday while Heather took a trip to the fabric store. The girls had so much fun playing together. LB kept saying, "Aubee". It was pretty cute. We took a wagon ride (to the cul-de-sac and back because it was about 100% humidity outside) and then we went over to visit our neighbors, the Miller's. Hailey and Bryant had fun with the girls and Hailey decided she wanted to ride in the wagon too. So, they all piled in. By the time Heather got back, Laura Beth did not want to leave. Aubrey was down for a nap and Laura Beth and I were looking at books. She is so smart...I think Heather is going to have her reading by the age of 2! All in all, it was a fun day and we were glad LB could come over and play!
